Infinix Smart 3 Plus Pros
Starting with the pros first from the list of Infinix Smart 3 Plus Pros and Cons, the handset has a lot to offer for this price. First of all, this is an entry-level handset so expecting many things is not an option here.
1. Good Design
It is a good looking phone which is easy to hold and comes in different colors. People who love bright colors can go with the blue color variant of this handset. It is one of the Infinix Smart 3 Plus pros.
2. Big Battery
The smartphone comes with a 3,500 mAh battery which is way better than other phones available in this price segment. Plus, it normally lasts 1 and a half day during normal usage. So, yes! The battery is impressive.
3. Decent Display for this Price
The Infinix Smart 3 Plus is an entry-level phone and you can’t expect much from it. Yet, the handset comes with a 720p display which, according to me, is good for this price. Even the Redmi 7 that costs more than this phone comes with a 720p display. Check out the Redmi 7 Pros and Cons article.
4. Decent Camera for this Price
The triple camera setup is merely a marketing trick however, for this price; its cameras perform slightly better than average. Unfortunately, they don’t come with “night mode” which means you don’t get good shots in the night. During day, photos clicked by rear camera are better than other phones in this price segment.
5. Decent Performance for this Price
The Infinix Smart 3 Plus comes with a low-level or entry-level MediaTek processor and I didn’t expect it to work like charm. Yet, my experience while playing PUBG on this handset was not so bad. In fact, with the minimal graphics settings, it ran fine. Other multi-tasks work fine and switching between apps is easy.
Infinix Smart 3 Plus Cons
As they say with good comes bad too, this handset does have some cons. Let’s dig into the cons for the list of Infinix Smart 3 Plus Pros and Cons.
1. No Fast Charging
The Infinix Smart 3 Plus has a 3,500 mAh battery which is quite big. Unfortunately, it does not support fast charging and takes more than 1.5 hours to fully charge the battery from 5%. It stands at #1 in the list of Infinix Smart 3 Plus cons.
2. Slow Fingerprint/Facial Recognition
First thing first, there is no other smartphone in this range that comes with a physical fingerprint sensor. So, yes, I will give a plus point for this. Unfortunately, both the fingerprint sensor and facial recognition are slow, especially the facial recognition which is frustrating at times.
3. Average Selfie Camera
Though the handset carries an 8 megapixels front facing camera, picture quality is just average. Fortunately, there are some AI filters that you can use to make your selfies interesting.
Infinix Smart 3 Plus Review: Our Verdict
The objective of the Infinix Smart 3 Plus is to offer a good camera and media consumption at a price below Rs 8,000. While the display is on the right side, the setup of the triple camera still leaves much to be desired. But you’re going to be hard-pressed to find something better for the price. The Smart 3 Plus can be a great choice for people looking for an entry-level phone for general use. Its great design, good display, better-than-average cameras, high battery life and three-card support make it an all-rounder with a good budget.
